IRON+ vs standard dealer warranty: what the paperwork actually protects
Not all warranties are equal. We break down what IRON+ covers, what it doesn't, and how it compares to typical dealer programs.
The word “warranty” on used equipment can mean almost anything — from a meaningful mechanical guarantee to a vague promise that dissolves when you read the fine print. IRON+ is our specific answer to that problem: a structured coverage program with defined terms, clear exclusions, and a real process for claims. Here is exactly what it covers and how it compares to what other dealers offer.

What IRON+ covers
IRON+ covers major mechanical components for a defined period after purchase: engine, transmission, hydraulic pumps and motors, final drives, and major structural elements. The coverage period depends on the specific unit and is stated on your purchase documentation. If a covered component fails during the coverage period under normal operating conditions, we repair or replace it. The process is straightforward: contact us, describe the issue, and we coordinate the repair — either at our yard or through an authorized service provider near your location.
What IRON+ does not cover
IRON+ is not a bumper-to-bumper warranty and we do not pretend it is. Wear items (tracks, tires, cutting edges, filters, belts, hoses) are excluded. Operator error, misuse, and modifications void coverage on affected components. Electrical accessories, AC systems, and cosmetic items are not covered. We list every exclusion clearly in the IRON+ documentation — no surprises, no fine-print gotchas.
How this compares to typical dealer programs
Many dealers offer an informal “30-day guarantee” with vague language about what is covered. Some offer nothing beyond as-is. National used equipment marketplaces typically offer optional third-party extended warranties with significant deductibles ($500 to $2,500 per claim) and exclusions that make coverage nearly theoretical. IRON+ sits in between: more specific than an informal guarantee, more practical than a third-party plan with high deductibles.
